This just might be a little oversimplified. I know lots of religious liberals.

Jesus never paid $400 for a haircut and never flew from city to city. They must really hate him. His worst offense was not collecting taxes.
Matthew, there is a difference between Classical Liberalism, the old school of modern liberalism, and the new school of modern liberalism. If you are, or know, religious liberals then you are an old school liberal. Don’t turn your back on the other kind.
So, in fact, point 1 and 2 says the Liberals fear religion because it’s anti-democratic.
Well. I’m not going to argue with you on that point.
